Explanation of Electroneek API functionality

Can someone explain the Electroneek API functionality please.

I.E. If I have access to the Electroneek API I can make calls into the a Bot in Orchestrator.
If I don’t have the Electroneek API I can still make calls from my bots to outside APIs correct?

Please let me know if my understanding is correct.
I did read: API requests in ElectroNeek
and my question isn’t exactly answered by it.
